This is my first blog so going to try and give a very brief run of our journey so far!
After getting married in Jan 2011, its soon became apparent that we were not going to conceive a child naturally. I had numerous tests done which didn’t come up with a lot. After moving to a different location in Jan 2012 our new doctor then referred us for more investigations in April 2012, these showed that I had a low AMH (10.1) and that I was not ovulating. We quickly were prescribed 6 months of clomid, those 6 months all lead to BPN. In November 2012 we were referred for IVF. March 2013 we embarked on our first IVF journey, 4 days into the injections I had an extreme allergic reaction and the cycle was cancelled. It’s unknown if it was the drugs. May 2013 we started again, on a short cycle and different drugs. 11 eggs were collected, 9 lovely eggs fertilised and 6 embryos made it to day 5! 4 of which were good quality, so we have 1 transferred and 4 put on ice, its now a waiting game!
Through my journey, my hubby and I have become closer than we have ever been; he is my best friend, whole world and rock. I am so lucky to have him and I will never take that for granted. Out of my close friends, some I feel have let me down and haven’t been understanding. Others have been a constant support. I will never forget that.
